Located in the historic downtown of Hillsborough - surrounded by local restaurants, pubs, shops, and galleries, and just a couple blocks from Riverwalk and the Eno River, - the Thomas Stevens Gallery offers two floors of artworks to peruse…
~ on the first floor find the Showcase Gallery, featuring outstanding artists in solo and group exhibits that change about every six weeks, plus the AHA Hallway Art gallery area exhibiting modest masterpieces every day in the gallery building’s hallways shared with offices and the next door restaurant.
~ and upstairs find Suite 42, a spacious art display space, working art studio, and art hideaway - the working studio of artist Thomas Stevens, featuring distinctive local landscapes, colorful garden scenes, cheeky whimsey, and an alarming number of people who have lost their clothes.

Hours
Browse the first floor seven days a week, from 11 am until about 7 pm (or whenever the building is open) - admission by self-entry if gallery staff are not available.
The upstairs art studio (Suite 42) is open Saturdays 11-5, Last Fridays 6-9 pm, for special events and pop-up hours, by serendipity, and by appointment seven days a week. Really. Call or text to arrange a visit for you or your group.
Last Fridays in Hillsborough
You can always count on a special time on the last Friday of the month with the Hillsborough Last Fridays Art Walk, when Hillsborough's thriving arts scene really comes alive. In addition to a gallery art exhibit and reception, the Thomas Stevens Gallery hosts performances by outstanding local musicians and occasional poets. Join us every Last Friday, January thru November, 6-9pm, for an enjoyable evening of art, fun, and community.
